In 2012, ZAM’s Hope opened its own Clothing Boutique. The purpose of this boutique is to provide 1) sewing classes and training to individuals and their families; and 2) jobs for individuals that are from poverty stricken areas with no means of income or support. 90% of the items in the boutique have been designed and handmade by community youth, seniors, and individuals.
The clothing is auctioned off to the public during ZAM’s Hope Annual Fashion Show. All proceeds from the sales are extended to the families first and remaining funds are put towards the maintenance of ZAM’s Hope programming.
Through this boutique, ZAM’s Hope can support and empower these families by providing them with a source of income using their own skills. Through this program, ZAM’s Hope is also able to support its operations.
