ZAM’s After School Program is critical to the agency’s mission to empower individuals. It is especially important that youth know how to make the appropriate decisions necessary to progress toward their current and future success.
The target population is low-income far north side youth whose families lack the knowledge and/or resources needed to attend an esteemed Chicago school. Services include:
- Establishing and honing public speaking skills
- Establishing and maintaining healthy relationships
- Planning community events and outings
- Engaging in civic acts that better the immigrant community
- Service learning
- Developing emotional skills
- Developing social skill development
- Developing youth leadership
