About Zam's Hope Community Resource Center
- ZAM’s Hope is the vision and creation of Zehra Quadri, a single mother who discovered first-hand the lack of services available to immigrant women in Chicago, especially on the north side. As she worked through the social stigma of divorce and making ends meet for herself and her two daughters, she also began planning how she would help others.
- At first, Zehra, with her own resources and the help of her daughters, began offering emergency services from her home. In August of 2000, ZAM’s Hope was incorporated as a 501 (c) 3 not for profit.
- The mission is to provide human services to individuals and families in need to ensure their self-reliance and empowerment. We believe self-reliant and empowered individuals will succeed in building stronger, healthier and global communities.
- ZAM’s Hope is open to all, regardless of religion, gender, ethnicity, disability, income, or sexual orientation.
- With the addition of an expansion in Southside & Globally, ZAM’s Hope continues to blossom and thanks to our wonderful team of volunteers and donors. This is a true testament to our strength and ability to lead. For more information, please visit our website at www.zamshope.net

Our Mission
Our mission is to provide human services to individuals and families in need to ensure their self-reliance and empowerment. We believe self-reliant and empowered individuals will succeed in building stronger, healthier and future communities.
Our Vision
- To provide educational programming so that our clients have more opportunities and choices to create successful lives. Education is the key to success!
- To increase the proficiency and employment opportunities of adults through ESL, employment skill building, training, and, for newer immigrants, a safe place to learn and understand national and local rules and regulations. ZAM’s Hope believes that our clients, when confident, will have better opportunities at creating lifestyles of their choice, which will build stronger, healthier communities!
- To provide low-income families and individuals with food, clothing, household items and financial (Zakat) giving programs. We believe when persons have their immediate needs met, for example when they are not hungry, they can focus and progress and give back to their communities!
Our TEAM
- ZAM’s Hope is run by the dedication, effort and contribution of our board members, advisory boards, staff, and volunteers. These individuals work tireless to advocate for and provide services to the community.
- ZAM’s Hope Community Resource Center continues to focus on developing strategies for fundraising, meeting annual goals and attracting new major donors and sponsors. ZAM’s Hope also holds annual and monthly events to excite and inspire the community.
- ZAM’s Hope staff and volunteers possess the ability to understand and work with a broad spectrum of personalities and abilities. We work hard to create the kind of positive and motivating environment that will make all our community goals and strategies come to fruition.
